RiseUp Tuition: Handling Inappropriate Conduct

 

For Tutors:

1. Inappropriate Language:

   • Initial Step:  Politely request the student to stop using inappropriate language.

   • If Continued: Warn about session termination and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • Post-Termination: No further contact unless agreed by RiseUp Tuition; report any unsolicited contact.

2. Inappropriate Behaviour:

   • Initial Step: Politely request the student to stop the inappropriate behaviour.

   • If Continued: Warn about session termination and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • Post-Termination: No further contact unless agreed by RiseUp Tuition; report any unsolicited contact.

3. Inappropriate or Abusive Images:

   • Adult Content: Request the student to stop, terminate the session, and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • Child Abuse Content: Immediately terminate the session, report to the UK police and RiseUp Tuition, and ensure no further contact.

4. Disclosure of/Witness to Abuse:

   • If Told About Abuse: Reassure the student and report to the UK police and RiseUp Tuition.

   • If Witnessing Abuse: Immediately report to the UK police and RiseUp Tuition, and ensure no further contact.

5. Disclosure of Sensitive Information:

   • General Information: Discourage further disclosure, decide whether to continue or terminate the session, and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • Child Safety: Always report immediately to the UK police.

For Students (and Parents/Guardians):

1. Inappropriate Language:

   • Initial Step: Inform a parent/guardian, who will request the tutor to stop.

   • If Continued: Terminate the session and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • If No Parent Present: Report to a parent/guardian as soon as possible.

2. Inappropriate Behaviour:

   • Initial Step: Inform a parent/guardian, who will request the tutor to stop.

   • If Continued: Terminate the session and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • If No Parent Present: Report to a parent/guardian as soon as possible.

   • Sexual Nature: Immediately terminate the session, inform a parent/guardian, who will report to the UK police and RiseUp Tuition.

3. Inappropriate or Abusive Images:

   • Adult Content: Terminate the session, report to a parent/guardian, who will inform the UK police and RiseUp Tuition.

   • Child Abuse Content: Terminate the session, report to a parent/guardian, who will inform the UK police and RiseUp Tuition.

4. Disclosure of/Witness to Abuse:

   • If Told About Abuse: Inform a parent/guardian, who will report to the UK police.

   • If Witnessing Abuse: Immediately inform a parent/guardian, who will report to the UK police and RiseUp Tuition.

5. Disclosure of Sensitive Information:

   • General Information: Discourage the tutor, and the parent/guardian will decide whether to continue or terminate the session, and report to RiseUp Tuition.

   • Child Safety: Always report immediately to the UK police.
